Pakistan and South Korean Navies participated in a joint military exercise off the coast of Bahrain reported ‘Capital TV news’ today.
Pakistan Navy’s Ship Zulfiqar participated in a joint military ‘Passage Excercise’ (PASSEX). The Pakistani ship was joined by South Korean Navy Ship Dae Jo Yeong
Both ships are part of an international effort to curb piracy and ensure the security of shipping transits through the vital area.
Military exercise to help ensure a collaborative effort in curbing piracy
The exercise covers various scenarios, enhancing cooperation and operations efficiency. It also works of creating effective collaborative efforts to ensure security in the regional passage.

PNS Zulfiqar has also been deployed on Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) in the Gulf of Aden. The exercise confirms the commitment of the Pakistan Navy to provide a secure maritime environment in the global commons for international shipping and to counter illicit activities at sea, the spokesman of Pakistan Navy said.

Pakistan Navy, in line with government policies, stands ready to play its role in maritime safety and security in the region. The exercise will further contribute to improving the bilateral ties between the Pakistan Navy and South Korean Navy.
