Islamabad High Court had ordered the government to find and produce Mashwani’s brother in court. During the hearing, the court remarked that the government seemed to be the beneficiary of enforced disappearances.

In other news, a court in the federal capital issued non-bailable arrest warrants on Wednesday against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a case involving the recovery of arms and liquor.

The district and sessions court dismissed a plea for exemption from appearance on medical grounds and ordered the issuance of the warrant.
