The two missing girls from Karachi were found in Lahore on Tuesday. Police recovered the teenage girls from Lahore after they went missing from their homes in Karachi last week.
Girls had traveled from Karachi to Lahore to travel to South Korea with a plan to meet the K-pop band BTS. SSP Korangi said that the initial investigation confirmed that the girls were not kidnapped but had traveled themselves to Lahore.
“They intended to go to Korea to meet and join BTS as they were extremely inspired by the band,” he said.
The girls had disappeared from their homes in Korangi last week. The complaint was registered in Zaman Town on January 7th under Section 364-A (kidnapping or abducting a person under the age of fourteen) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The complaint was registered by Muhammad Junaid who said that he was with his 13-year-daughter in the home when her friends of the same age came to meet her. Junaid said he went to the roof but when he returned he could not find the girls. According to him, his family told him they had seen the girls walking out of the house.
He added that later the father of the daughter’s friend also returned. They searched for the girls for hours but could not find them. The complainant said that he believes girls have been kidnapped by some unknown for ulterior motives.
SSP Abbasi said that the investigators had visited the homes of the girls after registering the complaint there they found the diary that mentioned the train fares and that they are huge fans of BTS.
“The girls also intended to take their relative Naufil along with them but he refused to join,” the SSP said, adding that police had recorded his statement.
After this, an extensive search was started in Karachi, railway stations, and Lahore that helped them recover the girls. The team has traveled to Lahore to bring them back.
