Despite all the allegations and protests for the investigations of stolen mandate, as claimed by Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf ( PTI), the newly elected Prime Minister has been receiving congratulation messages from around the world.
Following Shehbaz Sharif’s inauguration as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his felicitations via an official statement on his X handle, acknowledging Sharif’s second term in office.
US Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome, conveyed his congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on assuming office. Through a post on the social media platform X, Blome expressed his country’s eagerness to collaborate closely with the new government and the people of Pakistan on shared interests.
Furthermore, the United States has greeted the return of Shehbaz Sharif to the prime ministerial role and pledged to cooperate with the new Pakistani government in advancing their mutual interests. State Department Spokesperson Mathew Miller emphasised the enduring partnership between the US and Pakistan, emphasising the importance of a robust, prosperous, and democratic Pakistan to both nations’ interests.
China optimistic about future
In a congratulatory statement, China expressed optimism on Monday regarding Pakistan’s future achievements in nation-building under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz.
“We believe that with Prime Minister Shehbaz and the new administration at the helm, Pakistan is poised to make significant strides in nation-building,” stated Mao Ning, the spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry.
Extending congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the prime ministerial role, Mao Ning noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang had also conveyed their well wishes to him.

Furthermore, the spokesperson highlighted China’s appreciation for the positive remarks made by Pakistan’s Prime Minister concerning bilateral relations and the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Similarly, Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas sent his congratulatory message to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on assuming office. In his letter, Abbas conveyed his best wishes for Sharif’s leadership and for the Pakistani nation, highlighting the deep historical ties between Palestine and Pakistan. He acknowledged Pakistan’s consistent advocacy for the rights and justice of the Palestinian people, affirming the strength of their bond.
