Cricketers worldwide, including those from Pakistan, earn substantial incomes, particularly those playing at the international level or in major leagues such as the PSL, IPL, or Big Bash. At the peak of their careers, they derive income from match fees, central contracts, sponsorships, and endorsements.
In response to mounting questions about the Pakistan Cricket Team, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the updated monthly salary details for the national squad members, showcasing significant increases across all categories.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan, classified under Category A, each earn a monthly salary of Rs 4.5 million.
Category B comprises players like Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, who earn up to Rs.3 million per month.
In categories C and D, monthly salaries range from Rs/750,000 to Rs.1.5 million. Imad Wasim is placed in Category C, while Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, and Saim Ayub are included in Category D.

In addition to their base salaries, players receive fixed match fees and match awards for all three formats, enhancing their overall earnings.
The new contracts issued by the PCB have led to a substantial increase in salaries:
- Category A: 200% increase
- Category B: 144% increase
- Category C: 135% increase
- Category D: 127% increase
These updates come as the PCB aims to address increasing scrutiny of the Pakistan Cricket Team by making financial details more transparent.
