The writer of the recently concluded drama serial Ishq Murshid reveals that the drama serial will be getting two more seasons- seasons 2 and 3.
Speaking in an interview, writer Abdul Khaliq Khan said, “I have three stories in mind for this show. You’ve already seen the first one, where a boy overcomes obstacles to win his true love. The second story will be about a boy who jumps through many hoops for a close-blood relationship. And the final story will be about a love that transcends everything else – it is about how the ishq for Allah overtakes everything else.”
Khan talked about how he created the story of “Ishq Murshid” and shared that it was important for him to deeply care about his main characters to tell their story well. He mentioned that certain characters, like Shameer/Fazal and Shibra played by Bilal Abbas and Durefishan Saleem, caught his attention right from the start and inspired him to build their world in the show. Khan sees these characters as the heart of the series.

He also mentioned his love for writing romantic stories involving young people and thanked the fans who have enjoyed his work, expressing happiness that they have liked the story so far.
