Croatia had beaten Morocco to get third place in the tournament. The coach of the Moroccan National Football team Regragui said that he is proud of his team. ‘Before the tournament, we were given a 0.01 percent chance of doing this, and we got to the last four,’ Regragui said.

‘We are now one of the top four teams in the world, and if you had told me that before the tournament I would have taken it. I would not have changed anything,’ he added.

Karima Al Khannous, mother of Bilal El Khannous said that King had asked that mothers should be present at the reception. “Normally we would be home by now, but the King insisted that the players’ mothers should also be present at the ceremony,” she said to the Belgian newspaper.

Karima said that they will fly back home on Tuesday. “It is about time because we have been away from home for a month now.”

“Bilal is supposed to fly with us so that he can join KRC Genk again on Tuesday,” she added. “Who knows, maybe he will even play against Anderlecht on Wednesday.”
