Famous YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, announced on Wednesday that he recently proposed to his girlfriend, Thea Booysen.
“Ya boy did a thing,” Donaldson wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of the moment he got down on one knee to propose.

In a video posted on her Instagram, Booysen showcased her diamond engagement ring while she and Donaldson donned matching MrBeast-themed Christmas sweaters.
The festive attire was fitting for the occasion, as Booysen revealed in an interview with People magazine, published Wednesday, that the proposal took place on Christmas Day in the presence of their families.
“My family flew in from South Africa for Christmas, and we planned to celebrate at our house so both families could be there,” Booysen shared. “We were opening presents, and for the very last one, Jimmy asked me to close my eyes for a surprise.”

Booysen said she “of course” said yes and expressed her excitement about their engagement.
The couple’s journey began in 2022 in South Africa, where they met through a mutual friend.
“Right from the start, I could tell how brilliant Thea is,” Donaldson said. “Within minutes of meeting her, I knew I wanted the chance to date her. Thankfully, she felt the same connection.”
Later that year, they made their red carpet debut at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and officially confirmed their relationship on Instagram.
Donaldson is a renowned YouTuber, entrepreneur, and producer of the reality competition series Beast Games. Booysen, originally from South Africa, is also a YouTube content creator specializing in esports and gaming.
