Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman fears his assassination in regards to his efforts to normalize ties with Israel, reports US news magazine, Politico.
Saudi Crown Prince informed the US Congressmen that he is putting his life in danger in his push to normalize Saudi-Israel ties. He referred to the slain Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat who was assassinated after striking a peace deal with Israel. “What did the US do to protect him?”
The report states that Muhammad bin Salman does realize that Saudi Arabia cannot fully capitalize on the incentives given by the US in terms of enormous investments, in return for normalizing ties with Israel, until regional stability is achieved through the resolution of the Palestinian issue.
Reports say the discussion was revealed to the Politico correspondent through a former US official who was briefed on the conversation. Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman believes pursuing a normalization deal with Israel will benefit his country.

The report also mentions that Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman is playing a ‘clever diplomatic move’ in which he wants the US to put pressure on Israel to strike a deal on his terms, as he is well aware of the growing fury among Arabs against Israel.
Last year, Israeli minister visited Saudi Arabia last year. Shlomo Karhi, Israel’s Minister of Communications, participated in a morning prayer service in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The service included a Torah scroll dedicated to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, symbolizing the growing ties between the two nations.
Karhi, an Orthodox Jew, arrived in Riyadh to lead an Israeli delegation to the Universal Postal Union’s 2023 Extraordinary Congress. This visit followed Haim Katz’s recent journey to Saudi Arabia, making him the first Israeli minister to visit the nation.
These diplomatic missions come as Israel and Saudi Arabia move closer to a historic normalization deal mediated by the United States. The potential agreement marked a significant advancement in Israel’s standing in the Middle East.
