Pakistani cricketer Muhammad Rizwan gathers massive praise for smashing performance in the third match against South Africa while fasting.
While Babar Azam put up a smashing performance in the match against South Africa, Muhammad Rizwan also played a remarkable inning of 73 runs off 47 balls. He opened the match along with Babar Azam and played till the last ball.
Rizwan set an indomitable opening partnership with Babar Azam and sailed Pakistan towards a nine-wicket against South Africa. Strong support provided by Rizwan enabled Azam to score his first T20 century which made him the third Pakistani to score a T20i century.
Rizwan scored 73 not out off 47 balls while fasting.

Together the duo scored 197 runs making the highest first-wicket partnership in the shortest format of cricket. This is also the highest ever partnership by any team in the run chase in T20I. It is also the highest partnership for any wicket against South Africa in T20I.

After becoming the top ODI batsman in the ICC ranking yesterday, he made some distinguishing records in T20I as well. Babar Azam scored the highest individual score by any batsman against South Africa.
Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam was playing the 48th innings of his T20I career. His score of 122 runs took his aggregate runs to 1916 which is the most by any player in the initial 48 innings.

Meanwhile, Rizwan remained not out till the end of the match and scored his third half-century in run-chases. He made a record of the highest number of half-centuries by any Pakistani batsman in the run-chases.

Babar Azam needs to score 84 runs in 7 innings to surpass the record of the fastest 2000 runs of Virat Kohli in T20I. The Indian skipper had completed his 2000 runs in the 56th innings of his career.
