It is possible for every country to harness the potential of its diverse population by uniting them into a single nation. Efforts are made by the governments to unite the people through promoting unity and harmony but in the case of India, the minorities are persecuted by extremist elements under the supervision of the government to promote Hindutva. Muslims have been killed or expelled from different Indian cities. Most Indians have a negative view of Indian minorities as a result of what they have seen and propagated in the Indian media under the guidance of the incumbent government. The media is doing exactly what the people in power urge them to do by solely reporting on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The BJP, a right-wing Hindu nationalist party, feels that Hinduism and Indian national identities are one and the same thing. Many Indian political parties claim to be secular, but the BJP’s programs openly reveal that it is firmly dedicated to Hindutva, or Hindu nationalism act and promote the agendas promoting the state for Hindus only. Indians have been striving for diversity and secularism for seven decades, but the Hindutva ideology of the BJP threatens these values.

BJP propaganda
The BJP has proposed a broad variety of measures to propagate its Hindutva concept, affecting millions of people over time with both modest and large changes. The violence perpetrated by gangs referring to themselves as “cow guards” may not be taken seriously by local judges. These organizations mostly targeted the Muslim or lower caste Hindu butchers and animal transporters in northern India, killing many of them. Several Muslims had their employment applications denied as a consequence of government policy backing that made it unlawful to slaughter beef.
The BJP’s actions have resulted in Muslims losing many of their civil liberties
Re-elected in 2019, the BJP swiftly removed Kashmir’s unique status as an autonomous state. As a result, Kashmir became India’s lone Muslim-majority state. Many Kashmiris, including erstwhile BJP supporters, were jailed and the internet was shut down to prevent them from communicating with one other. Even though Nehru allowed Muslims in Northern India to continue to practice Shari’a-based family law, that right was subsequently revoked by the Indian government.
The contentious National Register of Citizens (NRC) project commenced in the state of Assam to target the immigrants who migrated to India from Bangladesh during the civil war of the 1970s. Approximately two million people have already lost their citizenship and that figure might reach up to four million. Most of these persons are Muslims and did not have much education and were impoverished. The Indian government had constructed jails and first targeted the Muslims who were made targeted in the NRC and controversial CAA.

The media has an important role in the society to play which in the case of India is totally media. Their media propagate exactly what the Indian government asked them to project that is hatred against Muslims and promoting the extremist Hindutva agenda. This perspective reveals how the BJP exploits government resources to further its own political interests. Because the BJP is in charge, India as a nation has become a pariah state. The BJP uses social media to sow division among non-Hindus in order to achieve Akhand Bharat.
Hindu fanatics target minorities and murder and destroy their belongings as a result
The fall of the Indian National Congress to the BJP in 2014 has been attributed to the continuous instability in South Asia by policymakers and other academics. The BJP government was led by the RSS. Increasingly, Hindutva ideology is influencing India’s domestic, foreign, and national security policies as the RSS expands rapidly. The mission of the RSS is to make India the most powerful nation in South Asia by empowering Hindus and making India the most powerful country in the region and beyond. The BJP’s repeal of Articles 370 and 35-A, which made Jammu and Kashmir part of India, and the passage of the Citizen Amendment Act are the greatest instances of the long-term plan of the RSS.
