The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday has conducted a raid at the residence of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif, reportedly to arrest Hamza Shahbaz.
As per initial reports, a NAB team comprising seven to eight members has reached Shahbaz’s house, 96H Model Town and they are still trying to enter the house but are facing resistance. According to a party spokesperson, opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz, is present at the house.
Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb has condemned the NAB raid, saying that the anti-graft body came without a warrant and did not complete other formalities. She said Hamza has been appearing before NAB and arrest orders are unjust.
