Naseem Shah, Pakistani cricketing sensation, has become the youngest bowler to secure a hat-trick in a Test match. At the age of 16, Naseem Shah astounded the international cricketing fraternity when he dismissed Najmul Hassan Shanto, Taijul Islam and Mahmudullah on consecutive deliveries on the third day of the 1st Pakistan-Bangladesh test match in Rawalpindi, on Sunday.
Shah, enthralled the spectators in the ground and TV audiences jumped up in excitement as he racked up an unprecedented hat-trick feat that led Pakistan to victory in the first test match.

Shah shredded the record kept by Bangladesh’s cricketer Alok Kapali for 17 years after securing a hat-trick against Pakistan at the age of 19 in 2003.
With his remarkable feat young fast bowler has reached an international glory shortly since making a debut in November last year. Global media is raving for the young Naseem Shah for his whopping potential to take on the cricketing world, following the demonstration of his lethal bowling skills yesterday in Rawalpindi.

In December, Naseem Shah claimed world attention for his five-tier in a Test match against Sri Lanka in Karachi, sailing the team to the first test victory in the home ground since 2006. He became the youngest fast bowler and the second-youngest bowler in the history of Test cricket to take a five-wicket haul.

Cricket observers noted that Naseem Shah exuded exceptional courage to bowl in a warmup match just 24 hours after losing his mother during his maiden test tour last year and now he has become a bowling sensation in his 4th test match.
With Naseem Shah’s promising performance at the start of his career, he will continue to break several records in the future, anticipates the commentators.
Naseem Shah hails from the small town of Lower Dir, in the north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Naseem said his father was against his playing cricket.

“Those were tough days,” recalls Naseem. “My father used to say ‘why you play the sport of foreigners, instead of study.” But cricket was at the core of his life.
“There were not many facilities in my village so I used to play with a tape ball. I watched Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar on television but I liked Shane Bond’s (New Zealand fast bowler) action.
“Then I moved to Lahore and played cricket there and it was there I got more opportunities and then I was selected for Pakistan Under-16”, said Naseem Shah while sharing his journey towards a leading bowler of Pakistan’s bowling attack.
