Nasir Bagh Road on way to completion under FWO’s strong leadership

The 10 km road, with 5 bridges, is part of the Peshawar Beautification Plan. The project is slated to be completed by June 2022 and according to the latest updates, it is right on schedule. This is a testament to FWO's strong leadership and efficiency.

Frontier Works Organization (FWO) once again sustains excellence as it makes steady headway on the construction of Nasir Bagh Road (NBR). Important to note, work initially began on NBR in 2021 as FWO sought to improve the strategic road in Peshawar.

The 10 km road, with 5 bridges, is part of the Peshawar Beautification Plan. It will provide access to Regi Town and other private housing societies from University Road. It will also be a direct link to Peshawar Northern Bypass which allows direct connection of Hayatabad, DHA Peshawar, Warsak Road, and Jamrud road to M-1 motorway, bypassing Peshawar city.  As per details, the project is slated to be completed by June 2022.

According to the latest updates, it seems the project is right on schedule. FWO earlier uploaded a video showing the latest developments in the project. As per the video, FWO completed work on the bridges. Meanwhile, arterial bridge piling is still in progress.

Important to note, the NBR has increased the property value by a factor of almost 10. Better road and proper retaining wall along with streetlights will mean less waste and mud falls into the canal. Moreover, the road will lead to the overall development of the region.

On the other hand, erecting of the electric poles is still underway, including concreting of piers, and retaining wall. However, FWO is credited with completing projects on schedule.

FWO’s important role

Ever since its inception in 1966, FWO has progressed to become one of Pakistan’s largest engineering and construction organizations. Over the years, FWO has gone on to work on hundreds of diverse projects across the country, from KKH to the Makran Coastal Highway in Balochistan.

Last month, FWO made major progress in the Timergara-Khar-Mamad Gat Road (TKMG). The Rs. 7 billion mega road project’s completion is also set for June 2022. As an important part of Pakistan’s Central Trade Corridor (CTC), the 71.197 km road TKMG Road will link Mohmand, Bajaur, and Dir subsequently.

The TKMG is a pivotal road project that will provide job opportunities to hundreds of local residents. In addition, the project will bring a new era of progress and prosperity to the region. The people of Bajaur also welcomed the launch of the work on the road project and expressed the hope that it would ensure modern communication facilities to them on completion.
