The victims were identified as Imran Arif and Amina. Rescue officials reported that the driver lost control of an SUV, which then struck motorcycles and other vehicles.
The vehicle involved is said to belong to a relative of a prominent industrialist. The female driver allegedly attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by an angry crowd and handed over to the police.
Authorities confirmed that two female suspects have been taken into custody. Eyewitnesses stated that the speeding vehicle ran over motorcycles as it neared the Kangri House area.
Police revealed that the vehicle is registered under a private company’s name, and investigations are ongoing with the detained women to uncover further details.
Bahadurabad Police Station SHO Muhammad Naeem identified the woman responsible for the accident as Natasha Danish, a close relative of industrialist Danish Iqbal, who is currently facing legal action.
Natasha reportedly told police that she had just left her home in KDA Scheme One when she lost control of the vehicle. The police added that the suspect, who is married, underwent a medical examination and is said to be in a state of mental distress. She holds a British driving license.
