The former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif took a strong stance against the incumbent government. Speaking to the media after PML-N’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on Monday, Nawaz Sharif criticized PM Khan.
While talking about PM Khan’s regime, Nawaz Sharif said children of the poor are dying of hunger. He also said that Imran Khan has turned Pakistan into a spectacle.
“Pakistan has been declared the most corrupt country under Imran Khan,” the PML-N supremo said. He also highlighted the high rates of unemployment and inflation.

“Under these circumstances, there is not a single person left who does not want to be rid of Imran Khan,” Nawaz Sharif added.
Furthermore, the PML-N supreme leader revealed that PML-N will oust the “oppressive Imran Khan government.”
“In today’s CEC meeting, PML-N decided that it will get rid of this oppressive Imran Khan government, which is the need of the hour. Nothing is more important than getting rid of the government and the PML-N will be at the forefront to accomplish this task,” Nawaz Sharif said.
No trust move against the PTI government
Monday, the PML-N held its virtual CEC meeting where it decided on a no-trust move against the PTI government. Over 50 party leaders — 26 CEC members, district presidents, and general secretaries — attended the meeting via video link.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif about the PPP’s proposals of a no-confidence motion to send the PTI government home. Important to note, before, PML-N was not on-board with PPP’s no-confidence motion. However, it changed its stance as PML-N is determined to oust the PTI government at all costs. Shehbaz Sharif also briefed his elder brother Nawaz Sharif about a joint long march on Islamabad who expressed full support.

According to sources, Nawaz Sharif told the participants to gear up for protests, directing the party secretary-general, Ahsan Iqbal, to prepare a working plan for party lawmakers to bring people from their constituencies out on the streets.
Furthermore, PML-N decided to contact all the allies of the PTI government including Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQMP) and Chauhdrys of Punjab. The party leadership will also contact PTI parliamentarians and try to convince them for supporting the opposition.
In fact, sources revealed that the PML-N has been in contact with over 20 ‘dissident’ MNAs of the PTI, and the PPP with the Jehangir Khan Tareen group that reportedly comprises 30 MPAs and eight MNAs.
After the meeting, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz tweeted that the party reached a consensus to remove the PTI government.
Keeping in mind the plight of the masses & government’s ineptitude & failure in every field, there is a consensus in the party that IK government has to go. Every day that it is allowed to stay will add to the misery of the people. Not a single member disagreed.
