Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Sharif to embark on UK trip

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif was present in the National Assembly of Pakistan during the passing of the 26th Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan.

PMLN Supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, are set for a UK trip in November. The trip is expected to begin in the first week of November.

As per media reports, the father-daughter duo will fly from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, with a stopover in Dubai en route to London. After staying in London for two days, they will fly to the USA and will remain there for four days. Media reports further claim that they will also visit Europe as well. Their date of return to Pakistan is currently not clear. The reason for his visit is also not clear. Speculations claim that it is a routine visit, mostly for medical check-ups.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif was present in the National Assembly of Pakistan during the passing of the 26th Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan. He was seen active in his interaction with Indian journalists during their visit to Pakistan for the coverage of the SCO Summit.

In his interaction with the journalists, he called for the normalization of the India-Pakistan ties.  Former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says that the Indian Cricket Team should visit Pakistan to play in the ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan is set to host the ICC Champions Trophy next year.

According to details, in his interaction with the delegation of the Indian journalist, the three-time prime minister said: “Many problems will be addressed if the ties between Pakistan and India get improved.”

He said: “The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) can help to foster the ties between Pakistan and India.

“It would have been great if Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Pakistan. The past had been quite tense; now time to move forward,” he stated. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, was also present in the meeting.
