Nawaz Sharif will return home if no-confidence motion succeeds

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after the success of the no-confidence motion. Pertinent to mention, Nawaz Sharif left for London in 2019 on the basis of medical treatment. However, he has not returned since.

According to the media, PML-N senior leader and former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after the success of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Media reports, citing sources said Nawaz Sharif will first go to Saudi Arabia where he will spend the last ten days of Ramadan in Medina. After which he will go back to London. If the no-confidence motion is successful, then Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan in May.

PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair also confirmed the news. In a statement, Muhammad Zubair said that Nawaz Sharif has started his preparations and will return to Pakistan where he will face the courts. Moreover, he said that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Pertinent to mention, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif left for London in 2019 on the basis of medical treatment. However, he has not returned since. On several occasions, PML-N has hinted at his return.

Nevertheless, the recent news on Nawaz Sharif’s return has once again raised questions on his health on social media. Last month, a fresh medical report advised the PML-N supremo against traveling back to Pakistan.

In short, the medical report noted that Nawaz Sharif is under alot of stress and the stress of returning to Pakistan can “further compromise his cardiac status”. In fact, any long-distance travel could negatively impact his health.

Nawaz Sharif to return

The medical report had raised quite the storm in Pakistan as many labeled it as “fake”. For starters, the medical report was written by Dr. Fayaz Shawl, Director of Interventional Cardiology US. Regarding this, SAPM Dr. Shahbaz Gill sarcastically said that all the heart doctors in the UK have died.

Furthermore, a day later, a video of Nawaz Sharif visiting a factory went viral on social media. The factory in question was in Nelson, a town in the Borough of Pendle in Lancashire, UK. Interestingly, Nelson is 255 miles away from London. However, the Sharif family said it is a few months old footage.

Ever since Nawaz Sharif went to London, medical reports outline his ailing health and advise against any heavy traveling. As a result, his return to Pakistan (where he faces corruption charges) keeps getting delayed.

Now, PML-N claims that Nawaz Sharif will return after the success of the no-confidence motion. Currently, the Opposition is ready to bring the no-trust move against PM Khan.

The National Assembly session has been convened on March 25 by Speaker of the Lower House of the Parliament Asad Qaiser at the requisition submitted by the joint opposition for tabling no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
