Sources indicate that Nawaz Sharif expressed his distaste in some of his local representatives, including Tariq Fazal Ch and Hanif Abbasi over the lack of support in his favor after the passed verdict.
Some sources claimed that Nawaz Sharif held telephonic conversations with both the leaders and expressed his anger as to why they failed to mobilize the people in his support.
Those sources also claimed that the leaders gave an excuse, that due to section 144 being imposed, in both the twin cities, they couldn’t hold any protests.
The former PM, Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison, along with an £8 million fine in the Avenfield properties, while his daughter Maryam was sentenced to eight years with a £2 million fine.

However not much has changed since this verdict, as life in both the cities remain unchanged, at least from what’s evident so far.
No such notable public agitation was seen, where the people appeared disinterested about what had happened to the leader of a mainstream political party, as of yet.
