Nestlé Pakistan reported revenues of PKR 88.7 billion, yesterday. The profits are for a nine-month period ending September 2020. The results were announced after a Board of Directors’ meeting at the Company’s Head Office.
Nestlé Pakistan’s revenues have increased 1.9% from last year despite what the company called ‘many difficulties emanating from COVID-19 crisis.’ Dairy and Nutrition products contributed to the bulk of the growth in sales.

Earlier this month Nestle and NIFSAT had signed an MoU to enhance agriculture and food technology in Pakistan. Under the MoU, Nestlé Pakistan and NIFSAT will be working on alignment on laboratory testing methods, and food safety awareness programs and training.

Both organizations will also provide demand-driven support to regulatory authorities for harmonization of food standards and collaborate in their awareness campaigns about milk quality and safety in the general public. This initiative is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 17) of Formulating Partnerships for Achieving Desired Goals.
The report also listed new products that had been released during the nine-month period including MilkPak Butter, Nescafé Ice 3-in-1, Nescafé Chilled Mocha, Fruita Vitals Kandahari Anaar and Lactogen Essential.

The report announced that Nestle Pakistan was working on sustainable packaging, water resource management, rural development, and women empowerment.
Nestlé Rural Deep Reach Project is a collaboration between Nestlé Pakistan and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The program is aimed at the provision of basic income support to rural women which is critical for families living in extreme poverty.

At present, the program has 1,100 women beneficiaries who have been enrolled and trained to become rural sales agents of food, drinks, and other essential commodities across 446 villages in 23 districts of Punjab and Sindh, reported the Express Tribune earlier this month.
Nestlé Pakistan’s Public Affairs Manager Fatima Akhtar said the program has been helping many rural women since 2017, but it turned out to be particularly beneficial for them during the Covid-19 lockdown.
