Netflix released the trailer of the documentary on India-Pakistan great cricket rivalry. The documentary features former Indian and Pakistani cricketers.
The documentary, which will premiere on February 7th, 2025, features cricketers Shoaib Akhtar, Sourav Ganguly, Ramiz Raja, Sunil Gavaskar, Waqar Younus, and Virender Sehwag. It will explore the cricketing rivalry between the two countries.
These legendary figures share personal anecdotes and reflect on the deep emotional significance behind every India-Pakistan match.
Shoaib Akhtar shared a 10-second clip from the trailer on his X account. In it, Sourav Ganguly speaks about the former Pakistani cricketer’s bowling prowess. Dada @SGanguly99, you’re awesome. Indian cricket is incomplete without you,” Akhtar said in the post.

Sharing the trailer, Netflix said: “The biggest rivalry told by the legends who lived it. Dive into a tale of passion, glory, and cricket’s fiercest rivalry in The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, from 7 February, only on Netflix.”
The trailer has evoked the memories of cricket fans from both sides of the border. Some users believe that the trailer could have been more explosive, concerning the magnitude of the impact of the rivalry between the two countries.
Another user believes that the documentary could have included more cricketers. A Pakistani user commenting on the trailer said: “Show me ct17 final, wc21 otherwise it’s mid and biased.”
A Pakistani user commenting on the archaic narrative displayed in the documentary said: “Bachpan sey yahi ghissay pitay dialogue sun rahay hain aur 2 saal baad aik match hota hai. Bakwas.”

The documentary trailer has been released just a few weeks before the ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to be held in Pakistan, with matches of India being organized in UAE.
