New Delhi recorded a whopping surge in the sale of Biryani as Aam Admi Party inflicted a crushing defeat in a row to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP in state elections. Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP sustained its rein in India’s capital-New Delhi for the third consecutive time.
The Delhiites rejoiced the excruciating defeat of the ruling party in Delhi uniquely by eating Biryani and offering it to others. Reports claim that numerous restaurants and hotels offered lucrative discounts on Biryani owing to the inflated demand for the delicacy.
As much as I detest Arvind Kejriwal and his soft Hindutva, this defeat of the BJP in Delhi is reassuring. It was the most toxic, hate campaign, unleashed by the Prime Minister himself and it needed a resounding slap in the face by the people of Delhi. Raising a biryani tonight

UP CM & BJP leader, Yogi Adityanath in Rohini, Delhi: Kejriwal can't provide clean drinking water to people of Delhi. A survey says that Delhi uses the most polluted drinking water. The rise in the demand for food is attributed to the ridiculous comments of BJP leaders that Arvind Kejriwal is distributing Biryani among the anti-CAB protestors at Shaheen Bagh.

A score of BJP leaders including CM Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath had accused Arvind Kejriwal of supporting anti-state elements (Shaheen Bagh Protestors), which has now lasted for the more than 50 days, and feeding them with the delicacy and likened it to treason to goad voters to vote for BJP.
Twitter account of BJP repeatedly shared the pictures of Shaheen Bagh protestors eating Biryani. Perhaps, BJP has set precedence to demonize Biryani- Asia’s popular dish for political vendettas that exuded the amount of hate and intolerance permeated within the ranks of ultra-nationalist party, BJP.

The Asian delicacy became a symbol to jeer Hindutva apologists in New Delhi following the election result. Even social media went into a frenzy as posts cheering the victory of AAP and on Biryani flourished on Twitter.
They eat Biryani, but seek to divide the Nation over Biryani https://t.co/tfbzvLbedV

Social media users also expressed bewilderment on BJP to demonize Biryani when it is the most popular dish in India. According to one study, biryani was the most searched Indian food globally on the internet. At one point, Biryani was the most ordered meal on India’s largest food delivery app, Swiggy, three years in a row.
