Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja has hinted at New Zealand rescheduling tour to visit Pakistan soon. He said PCB will soon be sharing the good news with cricket fans.
New Zealand’s cricket team had decided to cancel its tour of Pakistan amid alleged security concerns. The decision was taken by New Zealand Cricket following “escalation in the New Zealand Government threat levels for Pakistan.”
On the advice of the New Zealand cricket security advisors, the team refused to play the match in Pakistan and returned to New Zealand amid the tour. Fans in Pakistan and all over the world were disappointed when New Zealand abandoned the tour.

The tour, comprising three ODIs and five T20Is, was supposed to play the first ODI in Rawalpindi. However, neither team left their hotel on the morning of the game. Authorities did not even allow spectators to enter the stadium.
The NZC said they “will not comment on the details of the security threat nor the updated arrangements for the departing squad”.
“I understand this will be a blow for the PCB, who have been wonderful hosts, but player safety is paramount. We believe this is the only responsible option,” NZC chief executive David White said in the statement.

The statement of Ramiz Raja came while briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination on Thursday. He said PCB had written a strong letter to the New Zealand cricket board. The board is “now rescheduling the tour” after being pressured by Pakistan.
He added that Kiwis did not tell the about the nature of the threats. He added that “it’s not our fault. Ramiz Raja said that PCB had written a strong letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) on the matter and quoted the experts as saying that a lot of politics was underway at the ICC.
