Not Babar Azam but Pakistan will lift Asia Cup: father Babar Azam

He said he is hopeful the series of victories will continue for Pakisan till the end of the World Cup.

Father of Babar Azam says that not his son Babar Azam but Pakistan will lift Asia Cup 2022. In a short interview with an Indian sports journalist, he said the entire team is Babar Azam.

A sports journalist asked him if he is happy with Pakistan’s win last night against Afghanistan. Azam Siddique said that he has said earlier as well that, for him, all the eleven players of the Pakistan Cricket Team are Babar Azam. Siddique implied that every player is equally talented and skilled to make the team win the match.

He said he is hopeful the series of victories will continue for Pakisan till the end of the World Cup. It is important to mention that Babar Azam is not performing well these days; he is failing to score runs in the Asia Cup. Skipper Babar Azam got out on duck in yesterday’s match against Afghanistan.

He also dropped to the second position in the ICC Men’s T20 ranking after almost three years. The Father of Babar Azam said that he is not worried about the form and performance of Babar Azam. Adding that he is working hard, his luck is not supporting him.

Azam Siddiqui said that Babar will overcome his faults. He said he does not talk to Babar on this matter.

When asked if Babar Azam will lift the Asia Cup 2022, he replied that not Babar Azam but Pakistan will lift the Asia Cup 2022. He said every player would play hard for Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup matches.

Journalist asked about Muhammad Rizwan replacing Babar Azam as the top batter in T20I rankings. Siddiqui expressed his happiness and said Rizwan is like Babar to him; Rizwan is also a Pakistani player; he is happy to see him at the top of the ICC rankings.
