Heroic tanker driver Faisal Baloch has been nominated for the prestigious civil award Tamgha-e-Shujaat. He met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday in Islamabad.
A picture of him meeting the oil tanker driver Faisal Baloch was shared on Twitter. “It was a pleasure to meet and nominate Faisal Baloch for the conferment of Tamgha-e-Shujaat for his act of bravery. A real-life hero, he risked his own life to save that of countless others. I commend his selfless act of courage,” said Shehbaz Sharif.
Earlier, Pakistan Army on Saturday had awarded heroic oil tanker driver Faisal Baloch with a cash prize at Corps Headquarters in Quetta. The award has been given to acknowledge the selfless act of oil tanker driver Faisal Baloch.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement. “To acknowledge the selfless act of courage, he was invited at the Corps HQ Quetta, awarded a cash prize, and honored on special directions of the COAS.” He was honored on the directions of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Last week, Faisal Baloch, an oil tanker driver risked his life to save the lives of other people. He steered a burning oil tanker three kilometers away from the populated area to save the lives of people.
A video of the driver driving the burning tanker caught people on social media with shock. Faisal Baloch with his heroic bravery averted a possible major catastrophe.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Quetta Shehak Baloch on Friday also awarded a certificate of human life protection and cash to the tanker driver Faisal Baloch in recognition of his humanitarian service for saving human lives by taking the burning oil tanker away from the population at the risk of his life, on Friday.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the bravery and courage of Faisal Baloch and said that he put his life at risk to save the lives and property of the other people.
