Oppo Launches Reno 3 4G Model With Quad Rear Cameras, Waterdrop-Style Notch

Oppo, a Chinese consumer electronics and mobile communications company, has released a 4G-only variant for last year’s Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G some time ago. The company is now doing the same with the regular Reno 3 5G. The non-5G Reno 3 features a design identical to the 5G variant, but with a few differences in hardware specifications.

The new Reno-series phone comes with a waterdrop-style display and houses a quad rear camera setup. The smartphone also has a gradient back design that comes in two distinct colour options. Unlike its 5G variant was launched in December in two different RAM and storage configurations, the Oppo Reno 3 4G model has a single version with 128GB of onboard storage. The Reno 3 also supports 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom. It also comes preloaded with features such as Ultra Steady Video 2.0, AI Beauty Video, Video Bokeh, and Soloop.

The 4G variant features the MediaTek Helio P90 SoC, while the 5G variant employs the Dimensity 1000L chip. Also, the former features a 48-megapixel main camera, while the latter has a 64-megapixel primary snapper.

OPPO Reno 3’s 4G model boots ColorOS 7 based on Android 10, and comes in Auroral Blue and Midnight Black colours. Unfortunately, pricing and international availability are yet to be revealed.

Camera

The primary camera setup includes a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP monochrome lens for close-up shots. These cameras are equipped with OIS, AI beauty modes, and Ultra Dark Mode for low-light photography.

The front-facing camera is a 44MP lens with AI noise reduction.

Battery and Pricing

The 4,025 mAh battery comes with 30W fast charging that is capable of charging the device from 0 to 50% in just under 20 minutes.
