District and Session Judge Rawalpindi Jahangir Gondal announced the verdict he also imposed a fine of Rs500,000 on the convict. He is expected to pay the amount to each family of the victim, reported Express Tribune. The court also convicted his accomplice Khurram Tahir for abducting three children. Tahir is awarded seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs.100,000.

Ayaz has been awarded the death penalty under section 367-A of the Pakistan Penal Code. By profession, Ayaz is a Chartered Accountant who had been working on a project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ayaz is found guilty of deceiving the victims to take them to his house, confining them, administering them with intoxicants such as ice, and them raping them.

The court in its decision also found him guilty of sodomy and participating, filming, and profiting from the recording and sale of the video on child pornography. Hence, he is being served with three life imprisonments under section 337, 337-J, and 292-C of the PPC.

The court in its written note remarked that despite being highly educated, Ayaz proved to be a threat to society.

“Instead of serving humanity in useful manners, he misused his capabilities in destroying the bright future of minors. He had committed offenses against society,” said the court.

Ayaz has been convicted in the UK and Italy for similar crimes. He was again arrested in Pakistan a year ago. Judge Gondal regretted that despite serving a sentence in the UK he did not change himself and continued with his evil practices in Pakistan. The judge asserted that he repeatedly raped and exploited the children of Pakistan.

“Such accused is like a malignant knot in the body of civil society and deserves nothing but a harsh surgical treatment,” the court observed. The Judge further remarked that children are like blooming flowers, who need to be nourished and cared for. He who crushes them under their feet deserves no leniency from the courts.’

Judge Gondal described Ayaz’s crimes as “inhuman, rather worse than beasts” because even beasts do not harm children.

Social media has widely praised the decision of the Rawalpindi Trial Court and demanded similar justice in other cases of child pornography and rape.
