Pak Army is well prepared to give befitting response to India: President Alvi

On Friday, President Arif Alvi lauded that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully capable and “well prepared” to give a befitting response to any Indian misadventure. Radio Pakistan reported that President Alvi commended the capabilities and resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces while addressing Army officers training at the Quetta Command and Staff College in Islamabad earlier today.

President Alvi declared that as a sovereign nation, Pakistan will not allow any country to violate its territorial integrity, and no misadventures will be tolerated as Pakistan “reserves the right to self-defense.” Referring to the Indian propaganda that emerged in the wake of the Pulwama attack, President Alvi noted, “Pulwama attack is being used as a pretext by India to escalate tensions”.

President Arif Alvi admired the role played by the Quetta Command and Staff College in providing strategic training and skills to the officers of the Pakistan Army.

He asserted that Pakistan is a peaceful and sovereign nation that seeks to establish friendly relations with all its neighboring states, including India. Arif Alvi admired the role played by Pakistan’s defense forces and lauded the sacrifices of the army, law enforcement agencies and the civil administration in effectively combatting the evils of terrorism and chaos.

President Alvi observed that despite the many challenges and hurdles that averted Pakistan from the path of progress, the country has now emerged more stable and stronger than ever, and it is now heading in the right direction with countless opportunities to strengthen its growth and prosperity. While discussing the potentials of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), President Alvi noted that this economic corridor is all set to alter the fate of the region by funneling in large-scale development.

He added that Balochistan will reap significant advantages from the CPEC project, particularly in terms of economic growth and the multitude of employment opportunities that will open up for the Baloch youth. President Arif Alvi admired the role played by the Quetta Command and Staff College in providing strategic training and skills to the officers of the Pakistan Army. He also noted that allied counties have also benefited from the quality training provided by the Quetta Staff College, and lauded it as the premier military institution in the country.

President Arif Alvi concluded his address by hoping that the strategic training and superior skill set that the trainee officers have received at the premier military institution will allow them to utilize their full potential in safeguarding the motherland to the best of their abilities.
