Another Pak Army soldier, Major Shahid embraced martyrdom while fighting terrorists in Balochistan’s Awaran area on Friday, confirms ISPR.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in its statement says that a group of militants ‘fire raided’ a security force check post in the Awaran area of Balochistan. The forces repulsed the attack and went after the terrorists in the mountains.
“At one of the cordons established to block the passage of fleeing terrorists, a heavy exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces,” the ISPR added.
During the fight, Major Shahid Basheer lost his life while another soldier sustained injuries. However, the Pakistan Armed forces inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists.

“Security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan,” said the ISPR statement.
Increase in attacks on Pak Army
Attack on Pakistan Army has beefed up in the past few weeks with several soldiers losing their lives in sudden terrorist attacks.
Back in February, four Pakistani soldiers and at least 15 militants were killed in clashes in restive Balochistan province, the country’s interior minister said Thursday, while separatists claimed dozens more had died in fighting that was still ongoing.

Baloch separatists have stepped up attacks against Pakistan forces in recent weeks — including a deadly bomb blast in the eastern megacity of Lahore last month.
Not just in Balochistan, but terrorist attacks on Pakistan Army have worsened in tribal areas as well.
In March, two soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while thwarting terrorists’ attack on security forces in the Bloro area of Bajaur District and killed four terrorists in a prompt response.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a news release, said, “On 21st March, terrorists fired on security forces in Bloro, Bajaur District. Own troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. Resultantly, four terrorists got killed”.
