After Pak-Army’s success in securing PSL Qatar wants Pak-Army assistance for World Cup

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, met with General Qamar Bajwa, Army Chief of Pakistan, on Tuesday and requested Pakistan Army’s assistance for the upcoming Football World Cup in Qatar.

The Qatari Prime Minister said, during the meeting: “The people of Qatar greatly value the people of Pakistan and trust their time-tested commitment to work in Qatar,”. He also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army in regional peace and stability.

The army chief thanked Qatari Prime Minister for his interests in working with Pakistan on cyber security, defense production, ease of travel and other multiple fronts.

Major General Muhammad Ali Ghanim Al-Ghanim, Commander Qatar Land Forces praised Pakistan Army’s professionalism and efforts in the fight against terrorism. He expressed his interest in conducting joint training exercises with the Pakistani military. Pakistani COAS, General Bajwa assured him of working together in joint exercises.

Furthermore, General Bajwa visited the Qatar Emiri Guard Headquarters where he met Major General Hazza bin Khalid al Shahwani. Gen. Bajwa is also visiting Ahmed Bin Mohammad Military College; the college where Pakistani tri-services contingent of 166 members is currently being trained in an exchange program.
