Pak Suzuki motors cut its car prices by almost 200,000

Following a decline in the US Dollar exchange rate (USD) compared to June 29, Pak Suzuki Motors Company has just announced price cuts up to 200,000.

Recently, the automotive industry had significantly increased its prices which made all its cars out of reach for most of its customers. Therefore, the vehicle price cuts wave is much welcomed by the people as after IMC Toyota reduced its prices up to 1 million the PSMC has also just announced a price reduction in all its cars.

Moreover, owing to the gradual appreciation of the Pak Rupee against the US Dollar the company has announced a price cut in the range of Rs Rs75,000-199,000. The new prices are applicable from August 16, 2022, at the time of delivery.

The company authorized its dealers in a notification stating that; “the rates are subject to change without any prior notice and prices at the time of delivery shall apply. Any government taxes and levies applicable at the time of delivery shall be borne by the customers”.

New price list

PSMC issued a new price list after it announced price reductions in all its cars. The new price of the Alto VX model is Rs 1.699 million with a price difference of Rs 90,000. The model previously cost Rs1.789 million.

Likewise, major price cuts are seen in Wagon-R models, the VXR variant costs Rs 128,000 while the Wagon-R AGS model has a new price of Rs147,000. Additionally, the company also decreased the prices of three variants of Cultus within the range of Rs 125,000-145,000. The prices of Bolan models have also been slashed by Rs 79,000.

Furthermore, the prices of Swift variants are reduced to a range of Rs 169,000-199,000. The Swift GL MT model has a new price of Rs 3.18 million while Swift GLX CVT model is available at Rs 3.76 million.

On the other hand, Suzuki Ravi recorded a minimum price reduction of Rs75,000 and it is now available at Rs1.424 million.

Despite a minor price cut by the company, the initiative would prove to be a promising step to flourish the local automotive industry amidst prevailing economic uncertainty.
