Pakistan is set to host a significant global conference on girls’ education in September 2024, in collaboration with the Muslim World League (Rabta Alaam Islami). According to the Malala Fund, Pakistan faces substantial challenges in girls’ education, with 12 million girls out of school and only 13 percent advancing to grade IX. Social norms, such as gender stereotypes and a preference for educating boys, are major obstacles. The primary objective of the three-day conference is to develop effective strategies for institutional responses and ensure better resource allocation to promote girls’ education globally.
