In tribute to the historical importance of Pakistan Day, the Armed Forces honor the remarkable endeavors of the Muslims of the subcontinent. They, under the visionary guidance of their leaders, created a distinct nation where they could freely practice their religion, preserve their culture, and exercise their political rights, as highlighted by the ISPR.

Amidst the jubilant celebrations, the Armed Forces also acknowledge the challenges faced by Muslims in India, particularly in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where they endure severe oppression and atrocities under an authoritarian regime.

The statement further expresses, “On this day, the Armed Forces of Pakistan reaffirm their commitment to defend the motherland and safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity under all circumstances and at any cost; and pledge to uphold the national flag, Insha’Allah.”
