Pakistan Army Promotes 22 Brigadiers to Major-General Rank

The newly promoted officers come from various corps, including the Armoured Corps, Artillery, Air Defence, Aviation, Infantry, Corps of Military Intelligence, and EME.

The Pakistan Army Promotion Board, chaired by Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, approved the promotions of several brigadiers to the two-star rank. The formal decision was made during a board meeting at the General Headquarters.

The newly promoted officers come from various corps, including the Armoured Corps, Artillery, Air Defence, Aviation, Infantry, Corps of Military Intelligence, and EME. Among those promoted are the current military secretaries to the President and the Prime Minister.

Promoted officers include Brigadier Adnan Sultan, Brigadier Usman Kiyani, Brigadier Imran Sartaj, Brigadier Yahya Usman, Brigadier Usman Iqbal, Brigadier Jolian, Brigadier Saeed Anwar, Brigadier Arfan Ramay, and Brigadier Attiq.

Additionally, the Infantry officers promoted are Brigadier Mehr Omer, Brigadier Imtiaz Gillani, Brigadier Ahmed Jawad, Brigadier Tajdeed, Brigadier Bilal Sarfraz, Brigadier Khurram Shabbir, Brigadier Faisal Saud, Brigadier Abid Mazhar, Brigadier Shehryar Muneer, Brigadier Shehryar Qureshi, Brigadier Adil Iftikhar, Brigadier Amjad Aziz, and Brigadier Zulfikar Shaheen.
