The new Indian COVID variant can be as disastrous for Pakistan as it has been for India. According to reports, COVID19 new mutation is giving false negatives in nasal swaps which means there could be more people having the coronavirus than being reported. The new COVID variant can spread in Pakistan before people could no if it spreading.
The observations by doctors in India are accurate as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also reported this in January, which can be read in the following article.

The virus is now hitting straight into the lungs. The new variant carries no symptoms like fever or cough except the body ache, weakness and loss of appetite. Patients go from mild condition to extreme life.

Patients that have previous recovered from Indian COVID19 in last year or so are at higher risk as their respiratory system is still not fully recovered.
It is being suspected that Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh can get the new mutations of virus and face a dire situation just like India.

While in Pakistan, the total active COVID-19 cases recorded were 84,976 with 5,870 more people tested positive for the deadly virus and 5,685 people recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours.
Amid growing number of cases, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the nation to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the prevention of coronavirus. He has mobilized Pakistan army to impose restrictions across the country.
