Pakistan Citizen Portal: #PMHazirHai

Prime Minister Imran Khan has appreciated the swift action on the complaints registered by the people on Pakistan’s Citizen Portal. He stated that over 1 million have registered on the portal within the last 8 months since its launch and referred to it as proof for the nation’s confidence in the government of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf.

“As of today, over 1 million citizens have registered at Pakistan Citizens Portal within 8 months of its launch. This is testament of people’s trust in the system & its effectiveness. No political or bureaucratic reference required to reach out to a public office.” PM Khan wrote in his latest tweet. He informed Tuesday night with a hashtag: #PMHazirHai.

Pakistan Citizen Portal is the 7th most searched application according to the Google Search Engine category. It has received 4.5 ratings by its users.

PM Khan has informed that the government has addressed and resolved over 680,000 complaints out a total of 800,000 registered since the launch of the app. In the following tweet, he called it a “true citizen’s empowerment. This is Naya Pakistan!”

Prime Minister Imran Khan had launched the citizen’s portal last year on October 28th. The agenda of the initiative was to help people bypass the arduous procedure of filing their complaints in a complex bureaucratic setup. People can launch their complaint on the mobile application and also it also provides a time frame for solving the problems.

The PCP has been ranked the second-best Government mobile applications out of 4646 mobile apps from 87 countries nominated at the World Government Summit in Dubai for an award.

Pakistan Citizen Portal is the 7th most searched application according to the Google Search Engine category. It has received 4.5 ratings by its users.

The main objective of the mobile application is to build bridges between the people and the federal and provincial government. The intention is to swiftly address the grievances of the general public that otherwise consumes a long time to be tackled when filed through traditional channels of complaint registration.

With the introduction of Pakistan Citizen Portal, the government wants to beef up the E-governance system setup in Pakistan which is currently at its primary stage.
