Pakistan demands strong action from Iran against terrorists

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in a formal written communication, has demanded strong immediate action from Iran against the terrorists acting against Pakistan from its soil. It has pointed out that actionable intelligence was shared in the past but no visible action has been taken against these terror outfits.

Ormara Attack Details in written communication 

It was officially conveyed to the Iranian embassy in Islamabad, in writing, (a communication seen by GVS) that 15-20 terrorists who camouflaged themselves in Frontier Corps (FC) uniform barricaded the road and stopped 3-4 buses travelling from Ormara to Gwadar on the Makran Coastal Highway at Buzi Top in the dawn of 18 April 2019. Terrorists used National Identity Cards (NIC) of passengers for their identity and after specific identification of passengers, shot down 14 persons that were Pakistan government officials.

Baloch Terrorist Organizations

It was conveyed that “BRAS” which is the alliance of three Baloch terrorist organizations have claimed responsibility for this terrorist act. After the incident, the terrorists who arrived from border region returned to that area.

In its protest, the Pakistan’s foreign ministry conveyed to Iran that Pakistan has repeatedly shared intelligence about these activities. The information about the hubs of these Baloch terrorist organizations in Iran, having training camps and logistics bases across the border, was shared with Iranian intelligence in the recent past, and on a number of occasions earlier.

Unfortunately, no action has been taken by Iran in this regard, to date, it was conveyed to the Iranian embassy.

Pakistan Lodges Official Protest

Killing of 14 innocent Pakistanis by terrorist groups based in Iran is a very serious incident, Pakistan has strongly protested.

It has been conveyed to the Iranian embassy that Pakistan awaits Iran’s response to its request for action against these groups based in Iran, whose locations have been identified by Pakistan a number of times.

The Iranian embassy was requested to urgently convey Pakistan’s concerns to the relevant authorities in Iran for prompt action
