The world’s most sought after American multinational technology company Amazon has finally added Pakistan to its approved selling countries list.
Pakistan has received approval from Amazon to Register Pakistan in the verified Amazon seller list, Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood announced on Thursday.

Razak Dawood said it is a great opportunity for Pakistani youth, SMEs and women entrepreneurs. The adviser said that they have been working on this with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening.
A renewed list of the approved selling countries list will be issued on Amazon’s official website in the next 12-24 hours.
This is being seen as a massive achievement for Pakistan’s e-commerce sector as Pakistani products will now be available to millions of consumers globally. Amazon is known as “one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world”. It was founded by Jeff Bezos on July 5, 1994. It is also a part of the list of the Big Four technology companies, along with Google, Apple, and Facebook.

The reports further revealed that an office named Amazon Data Services Pakistan (Pvt) ltd has also been registered by the tech giant in Pakistan.
Paul Andrew Macpherson, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), would serve as the CEO of the office.
SAPM Shahbaz Gill welcomed this huge achievement gained by Pakistan. With this development, Pakistan has joined the global market and will now create billions of investment and employment opportunities, tweeted Gill.

According to TechJuice.pk, after Pakistan’s addition to Amazon approved selling countries, accounts can be made using Pakistani details.
“This milestone will drastically change the game and result in a new era of economic growth as more sellers will visit the platform than ever before,” revealed their website.
