Pakistani social media users are running a campaign in favor of Pakistan, calling it a safe country for women and everyone else, on Friday. Under the Twitter campaign, users are advocating Pakistan as a safe country for women.
They have quoted instances of female foreign travelers who have traveled Pakistan alone. Netizens shared the pictures of Canadian traveler Rosie Gabrielle and Polish traveler Eva Zubek. The campaign came in reaction to the recent comments of journalist Iqrar-ul-Hassan who had said that Pakistan is increasingly becoming a country unsafe for women following the Minar-e-Pakistan incident.

Pakistani Twitter users in response to these statements said that Pakistan is safe for women as shown by a score of foreign travelers who have been traveling alone from southern to northern Pakistan. The users said these travel bloggers shared their experiences of traveling alone in Pakistan. During their travel, they received immense hospitality from people across Pakistan and were treated well.
Twitter users posted their pictures on social media from their trip across Pakistan. His statements came in a video interview of TikToker Ayesha Kamran, the victim of groping and sexual harassment at Minar-e-Pakistan. He said that a sharp decline in the sanctity and respect of women in Pakistan has been observed recently. And he fears that she might face harassment at some point in her life. Journalist intended to say that Pakistan is swiftly becoming a country unsafe for women.
Netizens have accused the journalist of defaming and tarnishing the image of Pakistan. Pakistani Twitter users are running a #PakistanIsSafeforEveryone trend on social media. Under which they are voicing their views on how the trust of international tourists has increased in Pakistan recently.
Canadian solo traveler, Rosie Gabrielle, embraced Islam following her long stay in Pakistan last year. Gabrielle posted her image in a white gown and headscarf with Quran in hand. In the caption of the image, she recounted her journey towards Islam.
