Pakistan is the 22nd most powerful country in the world

Pakistan is ranked at the 22nd position in the list of 80 most powerful countries. To our dismay, it has descended two positions in the list, however, leaving behind countries like Brazil, Spain, and Singapore in the new global rankings, Pakistan makes its mark.

This list is published by an American media house US News and Report, where countries are ranked in terms of nation, economy, military, and political factors. Pakistan’s neighboring country India, is ranked 15th in the list while Turkey secures the 14th position.

The Best Country report has placed the 80 countries on the basis of their global perceptions. The global perceptions are derived from factors like potentials of the country to thrive in trade, travel, and economy.

This list highlights the tremendous military capacity of Pakistan. As per reports, Pakistan’s total military force consists of 919,000 with 637,000 active personnel and 282,000 reserve forces. The Pakistan military possesses 1,281 military aircraft, 2,182 combat tanks and 197 naval assets.

“The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in Pakistan is $1,222.52 dollars in 2017.”

“Power has transferred from civilian to military governments in Pakistan’s Federal Republic over the years, fostering an environment of instability and corruption that has stunted the nation’s growth and development.”

The seventh-most populous country is also among the youngest ones in this world, with the majority of citizens under the age of 22, as stated in reports. Overall, Pakistan was ranked the 74th best country in the world.

The United States of America still remains the most powerful country in the world, where Russia and China have acquired second and third spots in the list respectively.

To our dismay, it has descended two positions in the list, however, leaving behind countries like Brazil, Spain, and Singapore in the new global rankings, Pakistan makes its mark.

India and Turkey do not fall behind, as they end up securing places of 25th and 36th positions respectively, in terms of the best countries in the world this year.
