Pakistan pavilion to showcase its culture at Dubai Expo 2020

World Expo 2020 starts in Dubai after a one year delay because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is set to take place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. The theme of Expo 2020 is 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future'.

The biggest cultural gathering of the world will kick off today in the city of Dubai in UAE. More than 200 participants will be a part of this 182 day event and is expected to be attended by millions from across the globe. Expo 2020 is a must visit destination for families, with thousands of events, amazing exploratory experiences, and free entry for children up to age of 18.

This World expo is being hailed as a “festival of human ingenuity” by the organizers. This World Expo is the first event of its kind to take place in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region. The festival aims to depict and recognize the need for collaboration and partnership across communities, cultures, nations and regions. This six month event targets to enlighten the world of the importance of collaboration and partnership as the driving force economic growth and prosperity.

Expo 2020 has three sub-themes, which are as follows:

  1. Opportunity – to outline the critical role of financial capital for growth and partnerships as a pivotal driver for innovation and employment.
  2. Mobility – to exhibit the importance of physical mobility for all to access and distribute goods and services. Virtual connectivity through information technology has also emerged as a necessary tool to keep businesses and economies afloat.
  3. Sustainability – to enforce sustainable use of resources without hampering the ability of the planet to sustain future generations. This will recognize the role of natural and built habitats in promoting and ensuring human well-being and community resilience.

There will be a lot of attractions and activities for all those visiting Dubai for the World Expo.
