Pakistani wrestler Mohammad Inam bagged a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018 on Saturday. Inam out classed his opponent Melvin Bibo of Nigeria in the 86 kg category to win the final. He won the match 6-0 without allowing his opponent to even earn a single point.
This is not the first time he won the gold medal. Inam also bagged a gold medal at the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010. After winning the match, he did a lap of honour with the Pakistan flag draped around him.
Hailing from Gujranwala, the 29-year-old wrestler earlier clinched the title during Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010 when he had defeated Jayden Lawrence in the first bout before overpowering India’s Somveer in the quarterfinal.
This is Pakistan’s first Gold medal and overall fifth medal. Earlier, two other wrestlers Mohammad Bilal and Tayyab Raza bagged the Bronze while weightlifters Talha Talib and Nooh Butt also won Bronze medals in their respective categories.
