Pakistan thrash Australia by nine wickets in second ODI

Saim Ayub hit magnificent sixes and boundaries to Australian bowlers. Pakistan hit 10 sixes today in the innings against Australia.

Pakistan defeats Australia by nine wickets in the second ODI of the three ODI match series at Adelaide. Pakistan has now leveled the series by 1-1.

The magnificent victory by Pakistan helped them register a convincing and comfortable victory over Australia.  This is Pakistan’s second win in their last 15 ODIs against Australia in Australia – and only their second win in their last 30 matches against Australia in Australia across all formats.

Pakistan’s fielding first restricted Australia to 164 runs. Pacer Haris Rauf took five wickets in the match, whereeas Shaheeh Shah Afridi took two wickets. Naseem Shah and Muhammad Hasnain each claimed one wicket in the match.

Later, it was Saim Ayub’s magnificent innings of 82 runs that gave Pakistan a comfortable win over Australia. This was the first highest ODI score made by any Pakistani opener against Australia.  Moreover, it was the first time, Pakistan won against Australia in Australia by nine wickets.

Lads, keep believing in yourselves and inshallah even more successes are just around the corner,” said Shahid Afridi in his tweet on X.
