Pakistan wins second Test against England, after seven consecutive defeats

The match saw some impactful performances from Salman Ali Agha, Kamran Ghulam, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan. Spinner Noman Ali achieved his first 10-wicket haul in the match.

Pakistan wins the second Test match against England. Pakistan Cricket Team wins after a disappointing streak of seven defeats on home soil.

Pakistan has now equalized the series with 1-1. The defining victory came at Multan Cricket Stadium on Friday. The spinning duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan cruised Pakistan to victory. Noman Ali took 11 wickets in the second Test match and 9 wickets taken by Sajid Khan. Pakistan won the second Test match by 152 runs.

England needed to chase down 297 runs for the victory. Noman and Sajid Khan dismantled the batting lineup of the England Cricket Team in the first session of the team’s second innings. England were all out for 144 runs on the fourth day of the Test.

This also marks the first home Test win in three years. Chasing 297 for the win, England faltered, losing seven wickets for 125 runs as Sajid and Noman exploited the spinning conditions. Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah were dropped. Other players made a comeback in the team with Kamran Ghulam making a Test debut. His 100 runs cemented Pakistan’s position in the Test match after the team lost two sons early on.
