Pakistan Women Cricket team has whitewashed Bangladesh’s Women Cricket team who is on a tour to Pakistan. Pakistan defeated the opponents in all the three T20 series, claiming the cricket series.
In the final match on Wednesday in Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium the green brigade defeated the visitors by 28 runs in the final match. The guest team could only make 82 runs in 20 overs.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan’s Javeria made 54-runs followed by Omaima Sohail’s 31 to 117 runs in allotted 20 overs. For Bangladesh, Jahanara Alam secured three wickets and conceded just 12 runs from her four overs while Rumana Ahmed picked up two wickets. Nigar Sultana was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 30 runs while Fargana Hoque chipped in with 27 runs as their other teammates failed with the bat.

Pakistan had earlier won the first and second T20 with 14 and 15 runs respectively, at the same venue. Both the teams will again meet on the field on Sunday for the two-match ODI series.

Earlier, in the second ODI, Bisma Maroof of Pakistan sailed the team towards victory. She came in at 35 for 1 at 4.4 overs and remained in the field till the last ball of the innings. It was Maroof’s unbeatable knock of 70 runs, her career-best century, which helped the team win the match and the series. Maroof’s 10th T20I half-century comprised nine fours and one six, and was the centerpiece of Pakistan’s innings, Pakistan managed to give a target of to 167 for 3.

Bangladesh put up a good fight but could muster only 152 for 7 at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

In return, Pakistan’s novice cricketer Sadia Iqbal, playing her second only her second T20, crushed the opponents. Sadia took a career-best 3 for 19 in her four overs as the middle order crumbled.
While, Maroof was the player of the match in first T20 too when Pakistan defended 126 for 7 by keeping Bangladesh to 112 for 7.
