Pakistani celebrities enjoys SC decision of Punjab elections

In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan to delay the elections in Punjab following the dissolution of the provincial assembly.

Pakistani celebrities upheld the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the elections to be held in Punjab on 14th May.

Actor and singer Farhan Saeed appreciated the decision by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandiyal on the elections in Punjab. “14th May! The day when the People of Punjab will speak, inshAllah. Thank you #Chief_Justice_of_Pakistan, thank you for giving us our right back, the right to vote, the right to choose our leader. Bismillah!, said Farhan Saaed in his tweet.

Actor Muneeb Butt also expressed his joy over the decision. He shared the picture of Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial. Butt thanked Umar Ata Bandiyal and said that the nation will never forget him. Actress Azekah Daniel said, “Justice prevails !”

Shaan Shahid said, “#respect sir you have won the hearts of all true Pakistanis. History will remember and respect you for upholding the constitution of Pakistan.” Shahid posted the picture of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.

Mishi Khan also voiced her opinion on the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. “#ChiefJusticeOfPakistan . Thank you, Honourable Chief Justice, Of Pakistan Janab #UmarAtaBandial, All honorable Lawyers & the Judiciary for standing up for the truth & honor of Pakistan. May Allah SWT keep you all safe Ameen,” said Mishi in her tweet.

The decision has been announced by a three-member bench comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Munib Akhtar, which heard the PTI petition against the ECP.

The reserved verdict is being celebrated by PTI which has been actively campaigning for elections. Pertinent to mention that on PTI Chief Imran Khan’s advice, the Punjab and KP assemblies were dissolved in the first place.
