Pakistani journalist Ather Kazmi gives a befitting reply to India’s Major Gaurav Arya over the matter of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). While talking to Indian media, Ather Kazmi debunked Indian media’s claims that TLP is staging a protest due to PM Khan and COAS Bajwa’s disagreement over the appointment of DG-ISI.
According to Indian media, PM Khan stated that no one can challenge the writ of the state and the government will deal with TLP by sending the Army. However, the Army is demanding a written request, akin to the written summary PM Khan allegedly demanded over the appointment of the new DG-ISI.

Indian media also claims that members from TLP went to COAS Bajwa for negotiations instead of PM Khan. Furthermore, Indian media alleges that the Army is now using TLP to challenge PM Khan and warn him of the consequences of going against the COAS.
“On 6th October ISPR said that it is shuffling the Army. After that, this drama [TLP] began,” Major Gaurav said.
“TLP was asleep for so long on the issue of blasphemy, but suddenly they wake up? Is our analysis correct or is it another conspiracy by RAW?” Major Gaurav further questioned.

Ather Kazmi’s response
In response, Ather Kazmi stated that it is incorrect that Army brought in the TLP since the group harbors a history of conducting protests. So far, TLP has held seven protests within the country. Therefore, Ather Kazmi stressed that Army is not the reason for TLP’s recent rally. He further said that there are many other factors involved.
“I will not blame RAW, but I will recall your words where you said that these maulvis should be given cash along with SUVs and then sent back. Perhaps they are here because of you,” Ather Kazmi said sarcastically.

On another note, Ather Kazmi clarified that many people support the TLP’s cause i.e. anger against blasphemy. However, the actions taken by TLP are only benefitting India, since the group is creating political chaos within Pakistan.
“Instead of doing Bajwa’s work, TLP appears to be doing India’s work,” Ather Kazmi hit back.
Moreover, Ather Kazmi revealed that Sheikh Rasheed provided evidence stating that TLP has India’s support. Ather Kazmi also said that Pakistani courts are not like Indian courts who are incapable of taking independent decisions.
