Sindh High Court has restrained Arshad Malik from working till January 22nd after his appointment was challenged.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui merited the legal consideration since there has been a wide gap between CEO’s education, expertise and job requirement.
Twitter users denounced the decision and expressed angst on Sindh High Court. They recounted his efforts to reinvigorate the faltering national carrier. A few people commented that perhaps the fault of AM Arshad Malik was to serve PIA.

They defended him as a competent and efficient officer who did not take any perks and diligently worked for PIA. Adding that he is being targeted because he took action against fake degree holders and ghost employees that saddled the profitability and viability of PIA.
Another Twitter user shared an image of PIA’s advertisement in which the national carrier boasted about improved operational services with the expansion of 47 new flights to 27 new destinations.
Social media users recalled that PIA recovered its profitability and losses which were reduced from Rs.3billion to Rs.1.5billion with the hard work of CEO Arshad Malik.
It vividly shows the judge is deaf, dumb & blind that is why he knew nothing about precarious condition of PIA before Arshad Malik took charge & after he worked there till the court criminally suspended him! Superior judiciary seems hell bent to throw Pak into abyss of civil war! https://t.co/lpfDfVZ4oV
