Pakistani TikTok sensation Mr Patlo, widely known for his flamboyant lifestyle and massive online following, has reportedly been detained at Dubai International Airport during a layover en route to Doha, Qatar. He was scheduled to attend a digital influencer event hosted by the Pakistani social app Mate, alongside other content creators including controversial YouTuber Rajab Butt.
Mr Patlo, whose real name has not been disclosed, was reportedly apprehended before he could board his connecting flight to Doha. The reason for his detention remains officially unconfirmed, but social media is flooded with speculation linking his arrest to a disturbing online incident involving AI-generated videos.

Allegations of AI Misuse and Targeted Harassment
Unverified reports suggest that fans of Mr Patlo allegedly created and circulated digitally manipulated videos targeting a female content creator and her family. These AI-generated clips reportedly went viral on platforms like WhatsApp, sparking outrage. The alleged victim is believed to reside in Dubai and may have filed a formal complaint with authorities, potentially leading to the influencer’s arrest.
While it is unclear whether Mr Patlo was directly involved in creating or distributing the material, the swift response by UAE authorities indicates the seriousness of the allegations. As of now, there has been no official statement from Mr Patlo’s legal team or Emirati officials.
Rajab Butt Responds Emotionally
The news of Patlo’s detention first surfaced when the individual sent to receive him in Doha realised he never arrived. His close associate, Rajab Butt, confirmed that Mr Patlo had been taken into custody in Dubai. In a series of emotional social media posts, Butt recounted how he had convinced Patlo to attend the event despite initial hesitations. “He didn’t want to come at first due to some licensing and meeting issues,” Butt shared. “But I convinced him—and within minutes, he agreed.”
Butt condemned the irresponsible use of technology by fans, stating, “You made AI videos involving someone’s sister or daughter… and now Patlo is paying the price.” Defending his friend, Butt said, “He’s my brother, not just a social media face. Be an artist, not a reason for someone’s downfall.” He expressed hope that Mr Patlo would be released soon, adding, “InshaAllah, he’ll be out tomorrow. I believe everything will be fine.”
A History of Controversies
This is not the first time either influencer has made headlines. Mr Patlo has previously faced personal scandals, including accusations from his former wife involving alleged affairs. Meanwhile, Rajab Butt himself fled Pakistan in March 2025 amidst blasphemy allegations tied to a controversial fragrance line. He revealed in a video that he had left the country secretly, taking only his phone and a shirt with him.
