Pakistani wrestler Inam Butt wins a bronze medal in Turkey

Butt received Bronze Medal after defeating Turkey’s Mahmut Seyfi Ozkaya. Inam leads the game with two points. Netizens congratulated him on winning a bronze medal and prayed for his success.

Pakistani wrestler Inam Butt won Bronze Medal at Beach Wrestling World Series in Turkey on Sunday.

He lost in the 90-kilogram category, playing the semi-final against Azerbaijan’s Ibrahim Yusubov. Butt received Bronze Medal after defeating Turkey’s Mahmut Seyfi Ozkaya. Inam lead the game with two points. Netizens congratulated him on winning a bronze medal and prayed for his success.The wrestler will return to Pakistan on May 31st.

Pakistani wrestler had won two gold medals in Beach Wrestling World Series 2021, in Rome after beating a Ukrainian wrestler. He clinched the gold medal in the 90 Kilogram category after defeating his opponent. Butt dominated the fight with 3-0.

He also won the semi-final with the same score after defeating the wrestler from Slovenia back in 2021. After winning the gold medal the elated Inam Butt had posted a message on his social media.

“Alhamdulillah, by the grace of God I have won the World Beach Wrestling Series in Rome, Italy,” he said in a video message posted on his Twitter handle.

“Most of the credit for this feat goes to Pakistan Wrestling Federation. Luckily, today our new body has been elected and today I have earned the World Champion title for Pakistan,” said Inam Butt in a message shared on social media.

Meanwhile, his parents in his hometown Gujrat believe he fought hard but the results were not on his side this year. The Father of Inam Butt said that winning and losing are part of the game. He will work hard and win a gold medal next year. Parents expressed gratitude to the entire nation praying for his success.

Earlier, Inam Butt had posted about him reaching the semi-final. “Alhamdulillah, I reached the semi-finals by defeating Turkish wrestler Haji Abdullah 0-1 in the quarter-finals. The semi-final will be at 6 pm Pakistan time,” Inam wrote on Twitter.

He is set to represent Pakistan at the Commonwealth Games and Islamic Games.
